#103: How Thoughts Create Results

You may never have heard this before, but listen:

It doesn't have to be a grind.

That's what you're used to doing, so you've become accustomed to it.

It doesn't have to be that way.

I wanted to record a podcast addressing this false belief that if you're ambitious that you must grind all the time to create the results you want.

I talk to so many clients who feel like there's never enough time, and that they need to keep pushing to get it all done.

It takes time for them to see that it's their thoughts creating the suffering and not their workload.

Despite the fact that we're living a bit differently right now, this thought that we have to grind to get results is nothing new.

Our brain works exactly as it always has. The thoughts we think are exactly the same.

Unless we do the work to uncover these thoughts NOTHING with change!

If we don't do this, then the results we get in our life will be haphazard. Why settle for being on autopilot when you can be in control?

Our brains are constantly moving. We have something like 60,000 thoughts a day and most of them are the same thought or variations of the same thought.

Most of the thoughts we have don't serve us; therefore, they do not help us achieve the results we want in our life.

If you're tempted to believe that you should take a break right now from your goals, or if you find yourself procrastinating on your goals more than usual right now, then I want you to know that this is the perfect time to begin doing thought work.

Our thoughts are louder than usual right now. Our brain is hypersensitive to what's going on around us and it's looking at everything to see if there's danger, and it's also seeking comfort.

Whether that comfort is coming from eating more, drinking more wine, or shopping online more, seeking our brain is wired to seek pleasure and avoid pain.

After listening to this week's podcast you'll understand:

  • Why you procrastinate on getting results (grinding and procrastinating are inextricably linked)
  • How thoughts create our results
  • The one thing you need to do every single day to get the results you want

Now is the time.

After you listen, I want to hear from you. Where do you see yourself grinding or procrastinating most?
